The target audience that I am hoping to attract are a culturally sophisticated 16- 25 year olds that have an interest in music. This will be achieved through the narrative, which is to show the freedom in which young people feel when summer approaches and they are free from school. This is a concept that was chosen, as the lower end of the categorised target audience know the feeling in which this video captures or the latter end will remember the feeling of having freedom, and it will act as a nostalgic factor for them that all of the ages within the target audience can relate with. The music video will have a myriad of locations ranging from London, Italy, Croatia, Greece and other places within Britain, which anchors the locations that the demographic A and B would be able to go to. By having such a vast range of locations it allows for a more interesting music video to be conveyed, for instance the audience will see the variety of cultures of these locations and it creates the uses and gratifications of escapism. It will also make people engaged as the notion of going away on holiday, and should create the feeling of excitement and the excitement about their travels may be put onto the audience by the creation of the effect that it is them going away and experiencing it to with them. This is reinforced through the mode of address which makes the audience feel that they are apart of it. This in addition makes a successful music video as it creates a relationship with the audience, which is yet again another uses and gratification that will be incorporated into the music video that I have created. There will be two characters in the music video, a boy and a girl. It will follow their stories and by having both genders, which creates gender balance and a mass audience identification among my target audience. The music video narrative will be captured on my iPhone 8 and the water shots will be used by a sport-WIFI-Action camera. After the filming has been completed I will use IMovie to edit. Through the editing process I will deliberately edit in a manner in which befits the music of the video. The shot will be quick as it will imitate how fast time passes when a person is having fun. The last eleven seconds of the music video will be reversal of what has occurred, and it will end on the alarm clock going off. This highlights that the journey was so incredible that the audience and the people in the video can relieve it all over again.
